Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - Tabalong, the northernmost district in South Kalimantan, has recorded the highest investment in the province, which now has a population of more than four million people spread across 13 districts and cities, a legislator informed.
Fahrani informed it, after leading South Kalimantan DRD's Commission II monitoring the Tabalong Investment and One Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP), Saturday (Dec 9, 2023).
Commission II overseeing Economy and Finance appreciated "Bumi Saraba Kawa" (Tabalong's nickname) for this achievement the highest investment in South Kalimantan.
Head of Tabalong DPMPTSP, through the office's Secretary Syaiful Anshari, expounded that the most dominant potential of investment in the district are mining, power generation, plantation, and agriculture.

“In the period of January–December 2021, Tabalong recorded IDR3.5 trillion investment, the highest in South Kalimantan, and increased to IDR3.8 trillion in 2022. We hope it continue to increase by applying various strategies, of cource,” said Syaiful.
Among the strategies implemnted are partnering with the provincial one stop integrated service and independently, providing comfortable service facilities at the Tabalong Public Service Mall (MPP), an preparing regulations that provide convinience and incentive for business actors in the form of regional regulations for doing investment.
Commission II, in addition to carrying out supervision related to investment, also directly monitored activities at Tabalong MPP which presented 21 agencies.
“We saw firsthand the MPP's services to the public were quite good, because it is supported by all SKPDs (government agencies) in the district and related partners, so that people who wanted to get public services, business permits, and so on, could be served well,” said Fahrani.
Tabalong is the front porthc for South Kalimantan as the gateway to the new National Capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan.
