Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Banjarbaru City Government donated equipment and material to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the city in an effort to revive the pandemic-hit economy.
"This equipment and material assistance is part of economic recovery in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic," said Deputy Mayor Darmawan Jaya Setiawan who was accompanied by Head of the Cooperative, SME, and Manpower Office Muhammad Rustam Hibah, when handed over the aid a the Gawi Sabarataan Hall, Banjarbaru, Thursday.
He said the Banjarbaru government carried out three main programs in the handling of the coronavirus pandemic, namely health handling, social safety nets (JPS), and economic recovery.
He acknowledged that the spread and transmission of COVID-19 have deteriorated all aspects of life, including the business sector and people's economy, especially MSMEs that were affected.
"It is hoped that through the assistance of equipment and material, the micro, small, and medium enterprises can run their business again so that Banjarbaru economy can grow even more," he said.
