Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The District Government of Kotabaru, South Kalimanan Province, has just received an award from the Transportation Ministry for its commitment in realizing safe vehicle.
It is related to the implementation of periodic motor vehicle test which aim is to reduce traffic accidents.
Head of the Kotabaru Transportation Office (Dishub) Khairian Anshari said the district government is comitted and keeps its effort to provide the best service to the public.
"To implement the commitment, one of things to do is improving services in various sectors to the community, such as realizing safe vehicles," said Khairian Anshari here on Thursday.

Kotabaru received the award together with other four districts and city in Indonesia, namely Simalungun District, North Sumatra, Solok District, West Sumatra, Garut District, West Java, and Tanggerang City, Banten.
To receive the award the Kotabaru Regent H Sayed Jafar was represented by Head of Transportation Office Khairi Anshari at the 22nd anniversary of Motor Vehicle Examiners Association.
The Ministry given the award to Kotabaru government as an appreciation for its high commitment in realizing safe vehicles.
Kotabaru has shown its commitment by making various efforts to change both facilities and infrastructure.
They include periodic testing of motor vehicles and e-Kir (online testing) service to realize safe vehicles as well as a motivation to improve services to the community.
