Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Batulicin Immigration Office of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan Province, is increasing surveillance on foreign nationals in Kotabaru District through the joint operation of Foreigner Surveillance Team (Timpora).
"We with the team have just checked foreigners who work at PT Misaja Mitra and PT Jiaboa Jituan Indonesia," said Head of the Batulicin Immigration Office Ferizal here, Wednesday.
He said the operation was conducted to uphold immigration law, ensure the whereabouts of foreign nationals working at the companies, and checked administrative completeness related to stay permit.

The opeation, he expounded, was a follow-up of the Timpora meeting previously with the aim to intensify surveillance and enforcement of immigration law in the area of Kotabaru District.
"We are committed to ensure that every foreigner who works and stay in this area has appropriate and valid documents. This measures taken to maintain order, security and ensure that all legal regulations are upheld with no violations," he pointed out.
During their operation, officers checked passport, visas, and stay permits from foreign workers at PT Misaja Mitra and PT Jiaboa Jituan Indonesia. In addition, they dissiminated about the importance complyinjg with immigration rules and regulations tha apply in Indonesia.
