Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - Syamsudin Noor International Airport has recorded as many as 671,465 passengers had passed through the airport during the reverse flow of this year's Eid.
"The number of passengers is based on the latest data up to D+2 o Eid," said Syamsudin Noor International Airport Stakeholder Relation Manager Iwan Risdianto in Banjarbaru, Monday.
All passengers were transported by 861 flights on Banjarmasin route to Jakarta, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Bali, Makassar and Balikpapan.
For daily data, it recorded 7,604 passengers on D+2 with 56 aircraft movements.
Iwan said that the peak of reverse flow had not occurred yet and predicted it to be on Monday (April 15, 2024) with an estimated number of passengers of 11,620 on 83 flights.
"We are preparing 12 additional flights if there is a significant surge during the peak of the reverse flow," he said.
During this year's Eid holidays season, Syamsudin Noor Airport had realized 79 of the planned 196 extra flights.
"So, prospective passengers don't need to worry about running out of tickets, because flight availability is sufficient and extra flights are readied," said Iwan.
