Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - A total of 85,569 passengers passed through Syamsudin Noor Banjarmasin Airport in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, during the first week of the Integrated Transport Command Post for Chrismas 2024 and New Year 2025 operation.
"There is an increase of 12.84 percent compared to the same period last year with 75,833 passengers," said Syamsudin Noor Airport General Manager Dony Subardono here, Friday.
He said the highest passenger movement for departure occurred on December 22, 2024 (D-3 Chrismas) with a total 12,213 people.
In total there were 640 planes movements, up 2.24 percent from last year's 626 flights.

Dony was grateful that airport operations are running safely and smoothly with a surge in traffic in all sectors, including passengers, aircraft movements, and cargo.
During this year-end holidays, all related parties always check the condition of facilities and services for service users.
"This is being taken seriously as a commitment to realizing an exciting holidays," he said.
Dony hopes that flights during the 2024 year-end holidays can run smoothly until the end of operational command post on January 5, 2025.
