Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Narcotics Agency (BNNK) will conduct urine tests on students for the purpose of school admission, final test, and for their graduation.
"If there any student proven to consume narcotics corresponding results of urine tests conducted by local BNNK, he has no right to go to school or follow the final test and will not be passed," said BNNK Banjarmasin Chief AKBP Ilyas in Banjarmasin, Friday.
BNNK head and other staff met with reporters related to Anti Narcotics Day International commemoration in this city, whose top is celebrated June 27, 2016.
According to him, the BNNK has been cooperated with the city's Education Agency (Disdik) for the idea of urine tests on students, and apparently was responded by concerned offices because both wanted to get rid of the drugs among students.
"We want Banjarmasin students with qualified graduation, to study in earnest, so smart, if consume narcotic it impossible to be smart to expectations," said Ilyas.
According to him, one the school has already implemented it, the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 models, and will be followed by other schools. There were about 200 students had underwent urine test here.
In addition to students, BNNK also perform urine tests on drivers of city transport and inter-city transportation in main terminal Kilometer Six Banjarmasin.
There were about 50 drivers already had been tested and Thank God no one involved in the consumption of narcotics, and safe, said Ilyas.
