Kandangan, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Pawadahan Layang-Layang Dandang or the Giant Kite Community in Hulu Sungai Selatan (HSS) District, South Kalimantan Province, has the honor of participating in Fano World Kite Festival 2025 in Denmark.
The Indonesian Kite Association (Pelangi) has assigned the HSS's Pawadahan Layang-layang Dandang to participate in the international festival.
"We have had an audience with Deputy Regent of HSS H Suriani with the intention of requesting assistance for the smooth running of the festival," said Chairperson of Pawadahan Layang-Layang Dandang HSS Muhtasar here on Tuesday.
It is known that the Ministry of Law and Human Rights has issued a Communal Intellectual Property Registration Letter for Pawadahan Layang-Layang Dandang HSS.

Muhtasar expounded, according to the invitation there are two people were asked to represent Pawadahan as kite activists to go to Denmark.
He said Pawadahan will send senior enthusiasts who are able to speak English to make it easier to communicate during activities.
"The two representatives are Kasfiyanor from Sungai Raya Sub-district and Hirdiansyah from Simpur Sub-district," said Mustasar.
The festival to be attended is Fano World Kite Festival 2025 which will be held in Fano City, Copenhagen, Denmark, on June 14-21.
HSS Deputy Regent Suriani greatly appreciated the plan for Pawadahan Dandang Kite to participate in the international festival, because it is a means of international promotion for HSS District.
"Of course HSS government will facilitate this activity, and I will coordinate with related agencies because this concerns the cultural values of region in HSS and will be a good promotional media for our region," he said.
