Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Deputy Speaker of South Kalimantan Legislative Council (DPRD) Hj Mariana revealed that fishermen in Tanah Laut District complained about their difficulties in getting fuel for their boats to go to sea.
"They reported this when I met the constituents on my first day of recess in the district," she told Antaranews South Kalimantan in Banjarmasin, Wednesday.
According to the Gerindra politician, the problem of fuel for Tanah Laut fishermen must be of concern of the related parties. "This problem about fuel for fishermen should not be considered small, but it is a serious problem that need an immediate solution," said the representative of the people from the electoral of South Kalimantan Seven (Banjarbaru and Tanah Laut).

Regarding the existance of special gas station for fisherman, she acknowledged, based on their (fishermen) recognition there is no more in the district.

To respond to the problem of the Tanah Laut fishermen, she said, firstly discuss it internally in the provincial legislative council.

"Then through the commissions in charge we will discuss it again before following it up with the relevant agencies to find solution of the problem of Tanah Laut fishermen," she pointed out.
