Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru Civil Servants' Wives Association (DWP) held a social service activity in the form of blood donation and raising humanitarian aid for disaster-hit Sumatra provinces.
Regional Secretary H Eka Safrudin said that Kotabaru DWP has demonstrated active role and real contribution, both in social activities and in competitions at the South Kalimantan provincial level.
“This success is inseparable from synergy and dedication of board of Kotabaru DWP who continue to strive to promote the region's reputation at the provincial level,” he said here on Tuesday (Dec 16, 2025).
The Secreatary also appreciated their humanitarian action, which involved collecting aid for communities affected by natural disaster in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. The collected aid will be distributed through the Kotabaru Social Affairs Office.

According to him, this activity reflects a strong social concern and high empathy for others, in line with the values upheld by the Civil Servants' Wives Association.
Kotabaru DWP chairperson Mrs Risna S. Pane said the 26th anniversary celebration served as a momentum to strengthen solidarity and social concern, both in the internal organization and in a wider community.
She hopes blood donation and humanitarian aid will provide real benefits and ease the burden on communities suffering from disasters.
The DWP chairperson also mentioned several achievements during her less-than-year-long leadershi, including first place in the South Kalimantan Culinary Exhibition, second place in the Cake Decorating Competition at South Kalimantan DWP anniversary, and first-runner-up in e-Reporting at provincial level.
