Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - The South Kalimantan Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) recorded the province's economy has experienced a year-on-year (yoy) growth of 5.19 percent until November 31, 2025.
Head of South Kalimantan DJPb Catur Ariyanto Widodo here on Monday said this reflects stable regional fiscal performance, with economic growth exceeding national average (5.04 percent), and effective budget management.
“The growth is supported by key sectors including mining, agriculture, and processing industry, which enable it to maintaining regional economic momentum amidst the global dynamics,” he remarked.

In term of fiscal, he said the realization of State Budget (APBN) spending in the province has reached 89.06 percent. While the Regional Transfer (TKD) recorded at Rp29.43 trillion.
“The regional budget (APBD) performance also shows a relatively high surplus, reflecting strong fiscal space to accelerate regional development,” he said.
DJPb also recorded support to micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) continues to be effective.
From external side, he revealed, a trade balance surplus of US$988.28 million, despite 20.92 percent (yoy) contraction compared to the same period the previous year.

Export in November was recorded at US$1,121.44 million, while import reached US$133.16 million.
Inflation, Catur said, was 3.35 percent (yoy) with Consumer Price Index (IHK or CPI) of 110.22, higher compared to national inflation at 2.72 persen (yoy). On monthly basis, South Kalimantan's inflation stood at 0.73 percent, and the national rate was 0.17 percent.
According to him, the inflationary pressure was predominantly triggered by rising prices for gold jewelry, eggplant, and rice. While some commodities such as broiler chicken, household fuel, and mangoes contributed to deflation that restraining further inflation.
“Overall, the economic and fiscal performance of South Kalimantan remain at a healthy and controlled track, providing important capital to maintain stability and sustainability of regional development,” said Catur.
