The condition has motivated people in the Hapalah village, Bangkiling Raya Village, and Bangkiling Village in Banua Lawas Sub-district to plant bamboo along the river bank.
"As many as 1,169 bamboo seedlings we plant along the Tabalong River," Head of Banua Lawas Sub-district Zainuddin said.

The bamboo seedlings planted were supplied as assistance by the Tabalong Environment Agency as for greening and to anticipate lanslide.
According to Zainuddin, 106 bamboo seedlings were also prepared to replace if any plant dies. The planting activities also involved the ranks of precinct police, the sub-district military command, and some elements of community.

"In addition to prevent landslide, bamboo can be used as a material for woven craft," Zainuddin said adding that there are many bamboo woven crafters in the Banua Lawas.
Previously, bamboo seeds planting also carried out by the Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN) together with Leadership Coordination Forum of Tanta Sub-district along the Mangkusip River.
