Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Mayor of Banjarbaru Nadjmi Adhani has realized Banjarbaru as an inclusive city ready to accept disadvantaged (disabled) students to attend public schools the same as other students.
"We are determined to realize Banjarbaru as the city of inclusive since 2017 without distinguishing one and another student," the mayor stated, Wednesday.
The mayor made his remark infront of heads of OPD (regional apparatus organization), head masters, heads of sub-districts, and chiefs of urban villages across the city over the socialization of Mayor Regulation No.9/2018 concerning the Implementation of Inclusive Education.
He said he did the socialization in order all parties have the knowledge about it and support the program.

The mayor told, he previously heard some parents confided about how difficult they were trying to send their children to state schools, because of physical or mental deficiencies.
"Their confides inspired us to realize Banjarbaru to become a comfortable city for whoever wants to study, thus (we) together with headmaster make it happen," he pointed out.

He hoped community and all parties to have the same understanding to view others with the same view, without discrimination, until everyone are equivalent in undergoing education.
Likewise the public service in the city of Banjarbaru must provide facilities and infratructure that make it easy for everyone to access.
"The mayor regulation isnot only a commitment, but should be followed with good action in schools, in public facilities, including in budgeting to support the inclusive program," he stated.
