Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative of South Kalimantan Herawanto said 19 regions from the eastern part of Indonesia will take part in the 2019 Sharia Economic Festival to be held in Banjarmasin.
"The 19 regions are from Kalimantan, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua," he said in teleconference held in his office here, Tuesday (10/9).
The appointment of South Kalimantan as a host, he pointed out, is an honor and in acccordance with its historical root as one of the center of spreading Islam in Kalimantan.
"The festival will be held from 12 to 14 September at the atrium of Duta Mall Banjarmasin with a theme Move Together with Sharia Economic," he said.
"The festival has six main activities and we hope the series of the event will add the treasury of knowledge about Islamic economy and Islamic family for participants, guests, and visitors," he said.
