Banjarmasin, (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan caravan managed to bring the best trophy in the category of Tahfidz 5 chapters (5 juz memorizing) in the 26th National Quran Recital Competition (MTQ) in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
According to the Head of Public Relations South Kalimantan Office of MORA Hidayaturrahman, the best trophy was donated byqariah (female reciter) Nuriah which raised the value of 96.9167, beating participants from Riau and South Sulawesi.
"It's become our pride, the female qariah won high achievement for the good name of the area in the national arena," he said Sunday.
Hidayat said, there were five South Kalimantan qari (male reciter) and qariah clinch to the final MTQ. Besides Nuriah, then the other four captured the second and third awards.
At one juz recitations, South Kalimantan reciter won second, while in children and adolescents recitations and visual disabilities were awarded third best.
He said the accomplishments achieved by the caravan made South Kalimantan was taken into account in this MTQ. It determined to improve the ratings on MTQ later in North Sumatra.
Meanwhile, emerged as overall champion at the 26th MTQ in Mataram was Banten.
