Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Maruwai Coal has again achieved impressive achievement by winning two Gold awards at the Indonesia Sustainable Development Awards (ISDA) 2025 for its CSR program in social and environment.
Sri Armiyati Jarkasi, Head of the company's Community Development Department, stated that these awards are not the end goal of its CSR programs.

"Winning award is not the ultimate goal of PT Maruwai Coal's CSR program," Sri stated here on Tueasday.
For the company, this is a momentum to receive evaluation and positive feedback to further improve sustainable impact on the surrounding community.
Maruwai won the first Gold for the social pillar SDGs 4 (education) which focuses on increasing teachers capacity in strengthening literacy and numeracy to promote sustainable education quality in Murung Raya Regency.

The second Gold in environmental pillar category: SDGs 12 (responsible consumption and production) through “Integrating Domestic Canteen Waste Management through BSF Maggot Cultivation for Efficient Organic Fertilizer Supply Chains Within the Company” program.
This program integrates organic waste management with Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot cultivation as an innovative solution to reduce waste while supporting efficient organic fertilizer supply chain within the company.
Previously, Sri Armiyati Jarkasi, Head of Community Development Department of PT Maruwai Coal, received the Gold awards at the award ceremony at Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (December 17, 2025).
