Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Kalimantan's rally driver Rihans Variza and co-driver Anthony Sarwono from HRVRT BGM HBM BMB FORD dominated seven of eight spesial stages (SS) on the second day of the national South Borneo Rally Sprint II in South Kalimantan, Saturday.
Rihans, who was driving a Ford Fiesta R5, crossed a 89.51 kilometers route in the Tapin Regency - Banjar Regency.
SS2 in Rantau Bakula 1 (24 Km), SS3 Batu Belawang 1 (7.70 km), SS4 Kampil 1 (5.48 km), SS5 Pulau Pinang (15.5 km), SS6 Rantau Bakula 2 (24 km), SS7 Batu Belawang 2 (7.70 km) dan SS8 Kampil 2 (5.48 km).
During SS2 Rantau Bakula, which was called the most challenging for rally drivers, Rihans-Anthony raced with a record time of 11:57.0.
Success in SS2 continued in SS3 Batu Belawang 1, Rihans-Anthony only needed 04:62.2.

The confidence of the two continued in SS4 Kampil 1 Circuit. Rihans-Anthony's Ford Fiesta with the number 55 took first place with a time of 05:04.4.
However, in SS5 Pulau Pinang, Rihans-Anthony had to settle for fifth place with a time of 07:06.2.
Rihans-Anthony was only 0:00,9 a few second a part from Musa Rajekshah co-driver Hervian Soejono in the first place with a time of 06:59.2.
On SS6 Rantau Bakula 2 track, Rihans returned to first place with a time of 11:38.8. The first position was successfully maintained on SS7 Batu Belawang 2 with a time of 04:53.6.
Then, in closing SS8 Kampil 2 Circuit, Rihans recorded a time of 04:56.4 to ensure victory.
On Friday before, Rihans who is the mainstay of South Kalimantan, said he was confident to win the 2023 South Borneo Rally.
"We have prepared a good strategy, hopefuly we win our home," he said at the press conference at the Tapin Regent Secretariat
The result of the national rally championship in South Kalimantan will be determined in closing leg on Sunday (August 6). The next track is SS9 at Kampil Circuit (reverse) along 5.48 km to starts at 08.33 Wita (central Indonesia Time Zone).
