Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - South Kalimantan rally driver Rihans Variza and co-driver Anthony Sarwono, who raced for HRVRT BGM HBM BMB Ford, won the first champion at the national championship of the 2023 South Borneo Rally Sprint II in South Kalimantan.
"Alhamdulillah (Thank God) we give a maximum results," said Rihans after taking the podium at the Balipat Circuit, Tapin District, South Kalimantan, Sunday.
This is exactly as he promised. Rihans, South Kalimantan's champion, have secured his home by winning the championship.
The host rally drivers have dominated eight of 13 special stages as he clocked one hour, 20 minutes and 24.7 seconds outperformed 35 other national rally drivers.
"To all the team and the community, I thank you for all the support," said Rihans.

The second position was a young racer also from South Kalimantan Putra Rizky with co-driver Muhammad Redwan from LFN Sederhana MotorSport with a time of 1:21:53.6.
Then the third place Putra's brother, Rahmat with co-driver Hade Mboi from the same team carrying Jakarta flag, with a time of 1:22:02.1.
This second series of four national rally championships in 2023 covering a total distance of 276 kilometers divided into 13 SS.
The route in South Kalimantan crossed urban areas, villages to the typical fields for transporting oil palm and coal in Tapin District - Banjar District.
The event which was held on August 4-6 was opened with Super Special Stage (SSS) event in the Rantau Baru area, exactly in the front of Tapin Regent's Office.
On the second day, (5/8), the rally drivers underwent seven SS that covered 201.51 kilometers. Continued on the third day, Sunday, five SS with a distance of 74.13 kilometers and ended with podium finish at Balipat Binuang Circuit.
