Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Rihans Vareza and Riszky Prayoga, two host racers of Tapin District, South Kalimantan, were confident to champion the 2023 South Borneo Rally Sprint II.
Rihans said his team has prepared a strategy to conquer the track with the fastest time.
"We have prepared a good strategy, hopefuly we win our home," he said at the press conference at the Tapin Regent Secretariat, Friday.
So did Riszky Prayoga, he did not want 35 national racers,,who are excited to try the unique track of Tapin - Banjar Regency, to take first place.
Nevertheless, this Tapin racer reminded one important thing that all national racers, who are ready for action on August 4-6, 2023, to enjoy tracks that have been prepared.
"Hopefully everyone is happy and bring good news that our place is one of the best in Indonesia," said Prayoga.
The host's optimism could well be realized given their brilliant record time during shakedown. The two HRVRT racers finished first and second in the M1 class.
Based on the committee record in Rantau, Tapin District, Rihans recorded the fastest time of 02:28:8 (Run One) and 02:29:6 (Run Two).
In the two shakedown rounds, Rihans who was accompanied by co-driver Anthony Sarwono was able to go well.
During the official trial, Rihans was followed by Riszky Prayoga, with a time difference of two minutes (02:30:8).
LFN Sederhana Motorsport racer from Jakarta Rahmat with co-driver Hadi Mboi was third with a time difference of less than on minute (02:31:9).
In South Kalimantan, the national racers tested the track which has a typical terrain of coal hauling roads to oil palm plantations.
This challenging track will certainly impress the competing racers.
Peole can witness the opening of 2023 South Rally Borneo with an agenda for Super Special Stage (SSS) event in Rantau Baru area, precisely in front of the Tapin Regent's Office, Friday.
Then Saturday, the racers will undergo seven Special Stage (SS) with a total distance of 201.51 km. Continued on Sunday with five Special Stage (SS) and a total distance is 74.13 km until finish and champions ceremony at the Balipat Binuang Circuit.
Deputy Governor of North Sumatra Musa Rajekshah and Mayor of Pagar Alam, South Sumatra, Alpian Maskoni were registered in this prestigious championship.
