Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno reminded creative economy actors not to give up on failure to achieve success.
Minister Uno was a keynote speaker at the Indonesian Creative District/City (KaTa Kreatif) workshop in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Thursday, when he gave motivation.
"There is no success without failure and failure becomes the rung of ladder to success," he pointed out.
Uno then recounted his struggle to become successful businessman, because he had ups and downs in failure.
"25 years ago I was laid off, after that I build MSME business, had ups and downs, from three employees to finally having 35 thousand employees today," he said.
Uno told this so everyone still have faith that they can do it, even though the challanges they face are tough, but the spirit of never giving up must be strong to make your goals come true.
He encouraged the strengthening of a comprehensive creative economy ecosystem, including training, mentoring, marketing and capital, to be successful in running business.

Minister ensured that the government has taken maximum measures and policies to improve the existance of creative economy for the people to prosper.
Meanwhile, Directorate of Destination Development I of the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry Tiurma Simanjuntak said, out of 514 districts/cities in Indonesia, 118 are included in the ecosystem of creative economy districts/cities.
She said 30 districts/cities have been named as KaTa Kreatif in Indonesia, including Banjarmasin.
"With the potential of creative economy subsector in the form of crafts, culinary, fashion, and music, we encourage Banjarmasin City to be able to develop the leading creative economy sub-sector as a Creative City Dream," she said.
Tiurma hopes that the City of Banjarmasin to have a network as creative city at the national and global levels.
