Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - The South Kalimantan Education and Culture Office has chosen Banjarmasin City as a pilot for Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program implementation in the province.
The office Secretary Hadeli Rosyaidi here on Friday said the MBG program will be conducted with the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD) in charge for the implementation by the end of this month.
"This program involves a number of students who understand balanced nutritional content for free meal," he said.

Hadeli said the his office plans to conduct the MBG program for children in 130 locations during 2025.
In addition, the provincial government of South Kalimantan has also scheduled the free nutritious meal in two districts early next year.
"Then, four districts (to follow) by April and this will be carried out evenly from July to August 2025," he said.
He hopes the program launched by the central government will become the main focus as an effort to improve the welfare of the Indonesian people.
"Hopefully this program can help to reduce stunting rates and improve the quality of health of nation's future generations," he said.
