Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The South Kalimantan Narcotics Agency (BNNP) is still tracing the supplier network of 3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (sabu-sabu) from China seized from two suspects some time ago.
Head of the BNNP's Eradication Section Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Edy Saprianadi said, two couriers arrested in Banjarbaru City claimed to only be entrusted with goods and handed over to the buyer if there was an order.
"Goods were obtained by being thrown by someone on the side of the road. Recognized by the suspect Og and Ya, the evidence of 3 kg sabu-sabu we confiscated was actually 5 kg, but was lost when thrown at the Landasan Ulin gas station," Edy said on Monday (25 / 3).
While Og admitted to being involved in a network of "high-class" dealers after knowing someone in prison. He was previously arrested by the South Kalimantan Regional Police's Narcotics Detective Directorate in 2006 and was free in 2013.
"I have a service debt to a person when I was in prison," he told reporters without being willing to mention the person in question.
This network is known to distribute meth throughout South Kalimantan. Before being caught, the suspect would deliver the illicit goods to Amuntai, North Hulu Sungai , fulfilling orders from local dealers.
The team led by the Chief of BNNP's Investigation Section Commissioner Yanto Suparwito captured ID alias Og (37) and SN alias Ya (36) at a separate location at the Landasan Ulin, Banjarbaru, Tuesday, March 19 2019. A total of 3,104 grams of meth were seized from disclosure of the distribution network.
