Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Chairperson of the Tanah Bumbu chapter of the National Handicraft Council (Dekranasda), South Kalimantan, Andi Irmayani Rudi Latif stated her readinesss to advance creative industry in "Bumi Bersujud" (Tanah Bumbu's nickname).
"Tanah Bumbu Dekranasda will continue to take action, to assist and facilitate local craftsmen. Together with local government, we are ready to synergize to build a stronger and competitive craft industry," she said in Batulicin, Thursday.
She said one of the regional government's commitments to supporting local craft industry and strengthening synergy with the central Dekranas is through collaboration and coordination.

The Tanah Bumbu Dekranasda has been actively providing training, exhibiting and promoting leading products such as weaving, embroidery, and other local-material-based crafts.
Empowered and global-class artisan are a spirit to encourage the empowerment and presence of Indonesian craftsmen on the global stage.
The Tanah Bumbu Dekranasda has also attended the 45th anniversary of Dekranas in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. The event was attended by 3,769 people.
They included Seruni from the Red and White Cabinet, the Dekranas board as well as representatives of Regional Crafts Council (Dekranasda) from 37 provinces and districts/cities across Indonesia. The number of participants was 442 from provinces, 687 from cities, and 2,528 from districts.
The attendance of thousands of artisans and craft ativists made it a major event to stengthen the national craft network.
