With this achievement, he said, South Kalimantan Province can be declared a national food barn region.
This success, he said, is inseparable from the three-times-a-year planting pattern, the IP-300 program, implemented in the province's rice barn areas.
"We implement IP-300 program to the maximum on agricultural land in Barito Kuala and Tanah Laut districts, alhamdulillah (thank God), this program had been successful," he said.
Meanwhile, other 11 districts and cities in the province, have only two harvests per year.
With the synergy between the provincial, district/city, and central government, Syamsir Rahman optimistic, South Kalimantan's rice production will continue to increase every year.
