Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The district government of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, stated its readiness to fully support the acceleration of National Self-Sufficiency Area for Food, Energy, and Water (KSPEAN) development.
Tanah Bumbu Regent Andi Rudi Latif, represented by Regional Secretary (Sekda) Yulian Herawati here on Wednesday said the district government is committed to strengthening agriculture, plantation, dan fisheries sectors based on techology and innovation.
"The regional government also encourage the use of enviromentally friendly renewable energy and ensuring sustainable water resource management for the needs of the community and industry," he said.

KSPEAN program is a strategic initiative by the government to strengthen food, energy, and water security and build a foundation for sustainable development in South Kalimantan.
He stated that Tanah Bumbu has a big potential to support the achievement of KSPEAN. The district's agriculture, plantation, fisheries, and renewable energy potential are valuable capital in supporting national food and energy self-sufficiency.
Meanwhile, the existing water resources must be managed well to meet the community needs while supporting sustainability of regional economic sector.
"To accelerate the development of KSPEAN, we certainly cannot work alone. It requires synergy, collaboration, and close coordination betweeen the central, provinciall and district/city government, private sector, academics, and the community," said Yulian.
Consequently, he said, all stages of developments can run effectively, efficiently, and provide tangible benefits to the people's welfare.
