Marabahan, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Regent of Barito Kuala (Batola), South Kalimantan, Bahrul Ilmi provided assistance in the form of 12 "kelotok ces" machines to the Gawi Selaras Fisheries Group in Sungai Seluang Pasar Village, Belawang Sub-district.
Bahrul Ilmi in Marabahan, Batola capital, on Sunday, said that with the assistance provided, the fisheries group is expected to be more advanced and prosperous.
"I hope the fisheries group that received the assistance can take good care of these ces (diesel) machine," he said.

"Kelotok ces" is a traditional motorized boat that is widely used on the rivers of Kalimantan, especially South and Central Kalimantan, which uses a diesel engine or locally called ces.
The Regent hopes that the machine assistance from the district government and the Food Security and Fisheries Office (DKPP) really helpful for the community and they can develop well and more advanced.
"I remind again, the machines should be well maintained so it last. Later in one or two months they will be checked again by acting Sub-district Head wether the machines are still good or not," he said.
The Regent was accompanied by Head of DKPP Ardiansyah and acting Head of Belawang Sub-district Murhan.
Belawang Sub-district covers 13 villages, three of which are inhabited by people who make a living from farming and fishing.
“We are grateful for the assistance provided. The kelotok ces in addition to being used for fishing can also be used to go to rice fields," said one of farmers who received the assistance.
