Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The District Government of Tapin, South Kalimantan,received an innovative service award at the Home Affairs Ministry's Innovative Government Award (IGA) 2024.
“This award confirms Tapin as one of Very Innovative regions in encouraging government innovation,” said Head of Tapin Development Planning, Research and Development Agency (Bappelitbang) Meidy Harris Prayoga in Rantau, Tapin, Friday.
The award, he said, was also a real proof of progress of innovation that continue to be encourage and became a special gift for the 59th anniversary of Tapin.
“This success cannot be separated from direction and support of acting Regent of Tapin and a solid collaboration among all regional apparatus and local innovators,” he said.

According to him, his side is trying hard and committed to making this region the most innovative district at the national level by 2025.
To make this happen, he said, the quality and quantity of innovation in Tapin must continue to be improved through collaboration of all parties. In fact, some of Tapin's innovations have been adopted by other regions, thus the efforts to make it the most innovative are widely open.
Meidy said that his agency plans to strengthen the pattern of innovation assistance through sustainable collaboration with Home Affairs Ministry.
He undescored that innovation is a pillar of regional competitiveness. The award received is a clear proof that innovation not only encourage bureaucratic efficiency but also increases regional competitiveness at the national level.
"This award is a motivation to continue to produce innovations that are relevant and have broad impact on people's welfare," said Meidy.
