Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Head of Tapin Transportation Office Muhammad Nor said long holiday have reduced return flow traffic congestion during 2025 Eid holiday.
“The 2025 contraflow is not too dense, maybe because holiday period is quite long so people can choose a more flexible time to return,” said Nor in Rantau, Tapin District, South Kalimantan, Sunday.
Nor said traffic flow in Tapin was relatively smooth on D+5 or Sunday. However, a number of officers from joint elements of Transportation Office, Satpol PP or Public Order, TNI, police, and related agencies remained on standby at security and service posts until April 6.
The placement of the joint officers was carried out to anticipate the potential for a surge in return traffic on the last day of Eid holiday.
From the results of ramp check at the Rantau Terminal, he said, it was still monitored that departure activities of passengers heading outside the region was quite busy, especially routes to East Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.
“At least 9 to 11 fleets departed from Rantau to outside the region,” said Nor.
