Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - A member of Kotabaru Legislative Council (DPRD) Abidin Daeng Mappuji confirmed his readiness to fight for people involve in fisheries sector in the electoral district (Dapil) I Kotabaru.
“I will do my best to support and advance fisheries sector,” he stated here on Saturday (September 21, 2024).
Fisheries is an important sector for the people of Kotabaru, especially in coastal areas. It is used as prime mover of the community's economy.
Considering the most part of Kotabaru is coastal area, the development in this sector needs support and encouragement.

"I am committed to overseeing government's programs that have been running in accordance with the applicable law and regulations," he said.
The cadre of the National Mandate Party (PAN) also said that he will carry out supervisory duties and functions over the fisheries sector and will collaborate with related agencies to maximize effort to improve the sector.
“We will oversee the priority programs that have been planned for the 2025 budget year,” he stressed.
Abidin also promised to convey information to the public transparently and accurately.
“This information could be extended during our reses or through media that can be accessed by the people,” he said.
He emphisized the important of vision and mission that are realistic and executable.
“Our vision is to strive to be representative of the people who is honest, trustworthy, and transparent in absorbing and conveying the aspiration of the people that we represent,” he concluded.
