Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Batulicin Immigration office socialized electronic passport, express passport service, and introducing Immigration Polytechnic in several villages in Pulau Laut Sigam Sub-district, Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan.
"The activities were carried out for two days, June 27-28, 2024," said Head of Batulicin Immigration office Ferizal in Kotabaru, Friday.
Ferizal hopes, people living in villages far from the office of the Batulicin Immigration could understand the immigration services, e-passport, the benefits of express passport service through this socialization.
The office also provided information about an opportunity to develop career in the field of immigration through Immigration Polytechnic run by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights

He said that the Immigration Office is committed to bringing immigration services closer to all levels of society to create immigration services, especially certainty of requirements, time and costs.
Head of the Immigration Information Technology and Communication (TIKIM) Muhamad Maryadi said that this socialization was to increase better understanding of the issuance process and benefits of e-pasport and express passport services.
He said e-passports are equipped with high security technology and designed to make cross-border travel easier and increase the security of the owner's identity.
In adition, express passport services provides quick passport processing facilities for certain purposes.
"Today we visit several villages and urban villages in Pulau Laut Sigam Sub-district, including the village office of Sarang Tiung, Gedambaan, and Kotabaru Tengah," said Maryadi.
