Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The District of Tabalong, South Kalimantan, has recorded an economic growth rate of 4.9 percent as revealed during the Development Planning Consultation for the 2025 Government Work Plan (Musrenbang RKPD 2025) which involved all stakeholders.
Head of Regional Development Planning, Research and Development Board (Bappeda Litbang) Arianto said that the economic growth was recorded in the last three years.
"Even though is has fluctuated in the last three years, Tabalong's economic growth has reached 4.9 percent," Arianto expounded, Thursday.

The district's inflation rate was relatively good at 2.39 in 2023 compared to national (2.61) and the provincial rate (2.43), although in 2022 it has fluctuated and increased.
The 2023 open unemployment rate was 3.60 percent and the poverty rate was 5.77 percent in the same year.
With the theme "Strengthening Regional Competitiveness Towards a Prosperous, Dynamic, Advanced and Sustainable Tabalong" the Musrenbang RKPD 2025 was opened by Tabalong Regent Anang Syakhfiani at the Bersinar Pavilion, Pembataan.
The Musrenbang RKPD 2025 was also attended by the district's Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), DPRD, NGOs, mass organizations, universities, and business communities.
"Our task in the future is to stengthen Tabalong's economic fundamental so it can survive amidst the turmoil in the world economy," Anang pointed out.
Meanwhile, Head of South Kalimantan Board of Development Planning (Bappeda) Ariadi Noor in his presentation said that the province's economic growth was 4.84 percent in 2023.
South Kalimantan's poor population was 4.29 percent or 188,928 people in 2023 down from 4.49 percent or 195,702 people in 2022.
