Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The government of Tabalong District, South Kalimantan, received Adipura Award for the fifth time from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (LHK) for its successful in cleanliness and environmental management.
"Alhamdulillah (we) could achieve Adipura, symbol of supremacy in management of cleanliness and beauty of cities at national level for the fifth time,” said Regent of Tabalong Anang Syakhfiani in a press statement released by Communication and Informatics Office, Wednesday.
After this, the district government will continue its efforts to increase green open space (RTH) facilities, a better management of waste final disposal (TPA) with the support of community in 'Bumi Saraba Kawa' (Tabalong's nickname).
He said the success of winning Adipura Award in small city category was the result of joint hard work carried out by the government and the community, including Adaro with its partners and the banks.

Previously, the Adipura award for Tabalong was handed over by Vice President KH Ma'ruf Amin accompanied by Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya Bakar at the ministry in Jakarta, Tuesday (March 5, 2024).
VP expected that the Adipura award initiated by LHK Ministry to continue to be enriched with various innovation, so it can adapt to dynamics of time and changes in policy direction.
Thus, the essence of Adipura program is always maintained, ensuring involvement of various elements, especially commitment and performance of regional heads, as well as wider community participation in realizing sustainable development.
