Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-run Citilink airlines received an award from the Ministry of Youth and Sports for supporting the development of sports tourism in the country through the "Citilink Healthy Living Series 2021".
The award was handed over by deputy of sports culturalization, Raden Isnanta, to Citilink's director of operations, Erlangga Sakti, at the ministry's office on Tuesday (December 21, 2021), according to a written statement received here on Friday.
According to Isnanta, the award was a form of appreciation for the sports tourism development programs held by Citilink at five super-priority destinations, which were considered to improve the sports tourism industry in the era of adapting to the new normal.
"These sport tourism events in Indonesia's destinations highly attracted a lot of people, but the limited access such as (the availability of airplanes) hindered the participants from joining," he said.
