Paringin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Balangan government through the Food Security, Agriculture, and Fisheries Agency ensured sufficient stock of fertilizers for farmers, both subsidized and non-subsidized, until the planting season.
"The number of fertilizers needed (insya Allah) will be fulfilled with the delivery quota we received this year, namely urea fertilizer 1,456,046 kg, SP-36 fertilizer 442,574 kg, ZA 242,856 kg, NPK 2,767,942 kg, and an organic 1,717,479 kg per year," said head of the agency Rahmadi Uuen in Paringin, Monday.
He said he ensured that the supply of fertilizer will meet the needs of farmers for the rice and corn planting season until the end of the year.
Then, based on the results of monitoring at a number of fertilizer distribution kiosks in Balangan, there is still a large enough supply available to meet the needs of farmers.
Meanwhile, Head of Balangan Infrastructure, Facilities, and Agricultural Land Management Hakiem said the total availability of fertilizer in all sub-districts by the end of the year was 3,100 kg.
“So, farmers don't have to worry about how to get subsidized fertilizer, because the stock is still a lot. Even if it is not enough, we will submit additional requests to the provincial government,” he said.
Regarding the increase in the price of subsidized fertilizer that was higher than the price cap (HET) that farmers had complained about, Hakiem said that the increase was still within reasonable limits and was due to the high shipping cost.
