Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - One of Adaro Logistic's subsidiaries, PT Indonesia Bulk Terminal, is also helping the regional government in the handling of COVID-19 patients.
The assistance in the form of two ventilators was provided by PT IBT to the Kotabaru District government to complete facilities in the local hospitals.
PT IBT Manager Agus Yusnan handed over the assistance to the Kotabaru Regional Secretary Said Akhmad at the district administration office, Wednesday (August 5, 2020).
Representing the secretary of Kotabaru, Acting Director of Pangeran Jaya Sumitra Hospital drg Cipta Waspada thanked the Adaro Group for the assistance.
Cipta Waspada said, the two health devices to be used to support the service in the treatment of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), especialy patients with respiratory problems, so they need to be handled through a breathing apparatus or ventilator.
"This device is needed in the hospital, especially when dealing with problematic corona patients," Cipta Waspada said.
He said the two ventilators will add the existing ventilators in the hospital.
"Hopefully our patients will not be so critical, so this ventilator (assistance) can be used as backup," Cipta said.
