Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia (Alamtri) through PT Maruwai Coal and Adaro Foundation (YABN) had distributed 1,533 educational equipment packages to 23 schools in Murung Raya District, Central Kalimantan.
External Relations Division Head of PT Adaro Minerals Indonesia (AMI) Fery Basrah said the assistance was for students from underprivileged families through "One Uniform a Million Hope" program.
"This assistance is to relieve disadvantaged families while motivating students to keep on to be enthusiastic about studying," he said as reported on Thursday (May 8, 2025).
Fery said the package which contained school uniform, shoes, bag, and stationery came form a small movement of companies and employees with sincere intentions to contribute directly to education in Indonesia.

A total of 105 packages were distributed to students from grade 1 to 5 of elementary schools SDN Muara Tuhup 1 and SDN Muara Tuhup 2, Laung Tuhup Sub-district, Murung Raya District.
YABN Supervisory Board Budi Bowoleksono, YABN Chairperson Zuraida Murdia Hamdie and Mining Engineering Head of PT Maruwai Coal Safrudin M Sulaiman attended the handover of the assistance.
“One Uniform One Million Hopes is our small step and we hope it can encourage the birth of big steps from our children, because they are the future of the nation,” said Budi Bowoleksono.
He added that PT Maruwai Coal together with YABN also runs stunting intervention program and PAUD (early childhood education) develoment as a form of commitment to building generation from early age.
Previously, Alamtri through YABN in cooperation with Rumah Zakat, Education Office, and schools had verified the data of the beneficiares and ensured the accuracy of the distribution of assistance.
Acting Head of Murung Raya Social Affairs Office Sarwo Mintarjo appreciatted this program and hopes this social action to inspire other companies to directly contribute to the advancement of education in Murung Raya.
The Principal of SDN Muara Tuhup 1 Kartono expressed his gratitude for the assistance of school uniform and school equipment for his students.
"Put on the uniform well and proudly, make it an encouragement to continue to learning and achieving your dreams,” said Kartono.
