Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The figure of a positive case of coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) has jumped sharply in Banjarbaru from previously 15 to 23 cases on Friday (April 24, 2020).
Spokesperson of the Banjarbaru Task Force for COVID-19 Mitigation Acceleration Rizana Mirza here on Friday said the addition of eight cases were the result of searches of positive citizen from Gowa cluster.
"The addition of eight new cases is the result of positive citizen tracing from the Gowa Cluster, and are still undergoing quarantine at the Banjarbaru Ambulung Training Center," said Rizana Mirza, who is also head of the Banjarbaru Health Agency.
The eight new positive cases, he acknowledged, has relatedcase to previous positive cases and it indicated rapid transmission. So it must be addressed by people who have been in contact with positive patients.
"These new cases are those who have been exposed to positive patients, so we urge those who are close or in contact should isolate themselves independently or report to officers if they have any complaints," he insisted.
Meanwhile, data from the Banjarbaru COVID-19 Task Force until Friday at 16.00 Wita (Central Indonesia Time), the number of People Under Monitoring (ODP) is 238, Patient Under Surveillance (PDP) 23 and no number of death.
