Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Ministry of Social affairs have provided social renovation for inhabitable houses (RS Rutilahu) in Tabalong District to improve the quality of houses for the poor in this region.
Two beneficiaries, Masrawan (55), a resident of Barimbun Village RT 1, and Radiah (80), resident of Tanta Sub-district, received special visit from representatives of the ministry.
"Renovation of this house in very helpful for the poor, so they can have decent place to live," said Head of Tanta Sub-district Gusti Judid Ihsan Permana when receiving a visit from the team to Barimbun Village and Tanta Hulu Village.

The ministry official who came Director of Social Empowerment for Individuals, Families, and Community Institution Bambang Mulyadi and Director of Heroism Bambang Sugeng.
Also present was Head of Banjarmasin Social Welfare Education and Training center Rasman accompanied by Regent of Tabalong Anang Syakhfiani and Deputy Regent Mawardi.

The entourage came to Barimbun Village at about 2.30 p.m. to immediately inspected Masrawan house. This beneficiary is a widow, who is deaf and has impaired-speech, she lives with her three children.
The team also inaugurated rehab for Radiah's house in Tanta Hulu Village.
Head of Tabalong Social Agency Yuhani said, this year the Ministry of Social Affairs provided 106 units RS Rutilahu (social renovation for uninhabitable homes).

Apart from the ministry, similar assistance was provided by Muslim Asia Foundation for as many as 5 houses in the 'Bumi Saraba Kawa' (nickname of Tabalong).
