Kandangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Resident of Jalan Kupang, Kandangan, South Hulu Sungai (HSS), Ardiansyah (60), was found dead allegedly caused by a hit-and-run.
The body was found on Saturday (20/8) at Jalan Jenderal Sudirman kilometer 1,5, Tibung Raya Village, face down in a ditch with several injuries, including blisters on the right cheek and abrasions on the back of the head.
HSS Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Rahmat Budi Handoko through Head of Operation Comr (Kompol) Heri Munanto said the death of Ardiansyah allegedly caused by hit-and-run by a car.
When hit by a car the victim was estimated walking with a wooden cart containing coconuts. It is seen from some evidence at the scene, among other broken wagons and coconut fruits scattered.
"The victim's cart was on the side of the pavement, on left of the direction of Kandangan to Banjarmasin with its rear damaged and the cart wheel was released," he said.
The body was immediately taken to the H Hassan Basri Kandangan Hospital for a post-mortem to ascertain the cause of the accident.
Currently, the Police are conducting an investigation of the hit-and-run suspect.
