Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Regent of Kotabaru H Sayed Jafar handed over 180 Suzuki Ertiga Hybird operational cars for village heads to facilitate services to the community.
"This is a form of the Kotabaru government's attention and commitment in improving services to the community, especially at the village level. Village heads have very strategic role running government in the village," the Regent pointed out on Thursday.
The official cars were expected to make it easy for them to carry out their duties, coordinate with the community, and to expedite service process at the village level.
He reminded village heads that official cars should be maintained well, and should only be used for purposes of duty, not for personal purposes.
"Hopefully this assistance to be effective in conducting government duties and village development. Thank you for the hard work and dedication shown by all village heads in carrying out the mandate given," he said.

"At the end if my tenure, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all village heads for their dedication and hard work in developing the villages and our region. We have achieve many achievements, of course what we have achieved were the results of togetherness, synergy, and a high spirit of development," said the Regent.
Head of the Kotabaru Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) Risa Ahyani said that the operational cars came form the 2024 budget fund, with a total budget of Rp55 bilion for 202 cars with a price per unit of Rp275 million.
The Regent also handed over 3 garbage transportation fleets to Nurul Rabi Education Foundation of Tanjung Batu Village, Kelumpang Tengah Sub-district, Mandala Village, Kelumpang Hilir Sub-district, and Mekar Pura Village, Pulau Laut Tengah Sub-district, all from the Environment Office of Kotabaru for 2024 fiscal year.
