Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Regional People's Representative Assembly (DPRD) Suwanti urges people in Bumi Saijaan (Kotabaru's nickname) to avoid online gambling or you fall into misery.
Suwanti making her statement related to the rampant of online gambling among people.
"Don't be fooled by promises of online gambling profits," she said in Kotabaru, Tuesday.
Suwanti warned that online gambling or trying it will be detrimental and have negative impact on daily life as well as family and community structure.
"Especialy younger generation please stay away from online gambling," she said.

She added that online gambling players come from lower midle class, from students, parents, to underage children.
"As a result, many people suffer from financial, social, and psychological health problems," she pointed out.
The cadre of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) warned that online gambling was also one of the causes of emergence of crime among society.
"We (DPRD) support every action conducted to eliminate online gambling," she said.
Eradication of online gambling needs serious handling by all parties, she said, and the importance of comprehensive and sustainable handling in overcoming online gambling.
She hopes that the people of Kotabaru can provide understanding to their respective families to stay away from online gambling, because it will have a negative impact on their respective familes.
