Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru Legilative Council (DPRD) has urged the local government through the Task Force for the Acceleration Handling of COVID-19 to complete the facilities at the Special Quarantine Hospital in the Stagen Village, Pulau Laut Utara Sub-district.
The Kotabaru DPRD Speaker Syairi Mukhlis opined, the proper and complete facilities will make COVID-19 patients who undergo quarantine more comfortable and less stressed, thus the possibility of recovery can be faster.
"We want the facilities at the Stagen Hospital to be completely equipped, not only the primary necessities, but also other facilities, such as television, air condition, or refrigerator if necessary to store food for patients," said Syairi, Tuesday.

From the report he received, of the total IDR35 billion fund for the handling of COVID-19 available, IDR17 billion has been absorbed, so there is still IDR18 billion remaining.
The fund, continued Syairi, could be partially allocated to complete the facility at the hospital, which is specially provided to quarantine COVID-19 patients, so as not to be complained by patients.
The PDIP politician gave an overview of the current condition the Stagen Hospital, there is only one television in the building. When they want to watch tv, there will be crowds, as a sequence the health protocol cannot work. It can result in accidental transmission among them.
"Those who are in recovery, unknowingly infected by other patients, so the recovery time will be longer," said Syairi.
For this reason, he urged the local government through the COVID-19 task force to complete the facility of the Stagen Hospital to be more feasible as part of efforts to accelerate the recovery of patients undergoing quarantine.
