Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Tourism, Youth and Sports Office (Disparpora) held the 2025 tourism, creative economy male-female contest.
The Adminitration Assistant 1 for Government and Public Welfare H Minggu Basuki appreciated all parties who involved in the festival.
"On behalf of the Kotabaru government, I appreciate all the committees , performer, and all parties involved in the 2025 Kotabaru Tourism, Creative Economy Male and Female Festival," he said.
The festival reflects active involvement of young people in tourism and creative economy, as they play an important role in encouraging development of tourism in the region through education, innovation, and promotion.

"Make this festival a motivation to develop personal potential for millennial generation to conserve culture and tradition to achieve tourism glory in Kotabaru," he said.
Head of the Kotabaru Disparpora Sony Tua Halomoan said 109 participants, consisted of 52 males and 57 females took part in the contest this year.
The number showed the increasing interest of younger generation in tourism and creative economy.
"Their engagement in this event is not just to compete but also to contribute to advancing tourism sector and creative economy in the region," he said.
The contrest, which taking place 21-22 February at Ekraf (Creative Economy) Stage of the Siring Laut attraction Kotabaru, selected 12 finalists, 2 pairs of attributes from 109 participants, as informed by Disparpora head.
