Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - The South Kalimantan Tourism Office (Dispar Kalsel) introduced 360 degree virtual tour or VR tour for its employees (ASN) to help guiding people or tourists.
"South Kalimantan Tourism Office must be able to use the equipment first, so they can explain it to tourists to use this service," said the office Secretary Tanwiriyah here on Monday.
VR tour user can literally feel as if they are at a location, without ever physically stepping foot into the places.
She said using this service is quite easy, just use the special device such as VR glasses and control console to choose menus on display on the VR glasses.
The VR glasses then display a selection of a number of South Kalimantan tour destinations that user can explore more engagingly and memorably.
Tanwiriyah said that the South Kalimantan Tourism Office has three units of VR glasses for 360 degree VR.
"Three units of VR glasses will be placed, one unit at the Syamsuddin Noor Airport TIC, one at South Kalimantan Tourism Office, and one unit will be prepared portable to be carried when there are exhibitions or promotional agendas outside the region," said Tanwiriyah.
