Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through South Kalimantan Regional Hall of Settlement Infrastructure handed over state property (BMN) asset to the District Government of Tapin.
"Today we hand over BMN asset in the form of Water Treatment Plant (IPA)," said Head of the South Kalimantan Regional Hall of Settlement Infrastructure Dradjat Widjunarso in Rantau, Friday.
The IPA building that was handed over was built using the state budget of the PUPR Ministry worth more than Rp21 billion.
"The gradual handover to districts/cities governments throughout Indonesia is intended for them to prepare the operational cost," he said.

For Tapin an asset of the IPA pipeline network with a diameter of 6 inches were handed over, located in Margasari Baru, which construction cost was Rp6 billion.
"The length is about 2 kilometer," said Khairul Amin, head of administration and finance of the government-owned water company PDAM Rantau.
With the pipeline network in Margasari Baru, he said, the local residents will receive 24 hours of clean water delivery every day.
"Before the installation in Margasari Baru, the surrounding people received clean water from PDAM for only eight hours a day," he said.
