Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Tanah Bumbu Regent H Sudian Noor planned to distribute family medicinal plants (toga) seedlings as well as vegetable plant seeds for the district residents affected by the outbreak of COVID-19.
"We will prepare as many as 14.000 seedlings to be distributed for free to all residents affected by the coronavirus pandemic," he said in Batulicin, Saturday.
The seedlings to be distributed consisted of chili, eggplant, and toma. While medicinal plants consisted of lemongrass, galangal, kencur, turmeric, and ginger.
At present, the vegetable and toga seedlings are being developed at the garden of the Tanah Bumbu Family Planning Movement (PKK) to be distributed to residents.
By the distribution of vegetable and medicinal plants, the residents are expected to manage their own house yards to be planted with vegetable to meet their own daily kitchen needs.
While to toga plants could be developed independently, so as to realize the principle of independence in an effort to care for family.
"If we could apply this, we will not depend on others by buying," he concluded.
