Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - There were no flight activities at the Bersujud Airport in Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, so far for the Banjarmasin-Makassar round trip, which made the airport continued to be lonely.
"Actually Wings Air has opened service flight for the Batulicin-Banjarmasin-Makassar from May 10 to 30," said Head of the Sub-division of Technical Implementation Unit of the Bersujud Airport Surya in Batulicin, Tuesday.
Because there were no passangers at all, the airline did not fly its plane on the route.
According to the schedule, there are four flights in a week, namely Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. But until now there has been no flight activity.
The opening of the flight was because of the government's recommendation that airlines are allowed to serve passengers with certain conditions, such as trade needs, office service, and medical personnel needs.
However, passengers are required to health protocol by showing official documents from the official Office and COVID-19 virus free from the medical team.
According to Surya, the absence of passengers at the Bersujud Airport, because of high public awareness of the government's mudik ban during lebaran (Idul Fitri).
"It means that people realize the importance of maintaining health during the COVID-19 pandemic by complying the government recommendations to stay home, not making homebound trip, and implementing social distancing," he concluded.
