Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan ( Antaranews ) - Deputy of Archives Development Directorate of National Archives Processing of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) Andi Kasman revealed by the data in the national archives, the Larilarian Island is owned by South Kalimantan.
"Based on existing data and maps in ANRI, Larilarian Island is in South Kalimantan," he told reporters in Banjarmasin after " coffee morning " on local governance filing on Wednesday.
According to Andi, all data or files on the boundaries, both inside the country and even the data with foreign borders, all are kept at ANRI. Andi's statement replied on remains dispute over Larilarian island.
"Regional Secretary of the province also inquire about the status of the Larilarian. I said that based on ANRI the
island is in (the border of) South Kalimantan," said Andi.
Until now South Kalimantan and West Sulawesi are still involved in land border disputes over Larilarian or Lerek-
lerekkan island, whether the entry of South Kalimantan island or Sulbar . As a result of the dispute , now an
island rich in gas and other natural resources such , can not be exploited by investors to be entered .
Previously, Chairman of the Parliament of South Kalimantan Nasib Alamsyah expected Menkopolhukam role in resolving the territorial dispute between the Kotabaru District and Majene, West Sulawesi, over Larilarian Island.
