Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - The South Kalimantan Regional Office of Religious Affairs Ministry (Kemenag) distributed 16 thousand Ramadan packages to eligible people in 2025 Ramadan Festival.
Head of South Kalimantan Office of the Ministry H Muhammad Tambrin in Banjarmasin, Tuesday (March 25, 2025), said the distribution of Ramadan packages was carried out officially simultaneously throughout Indonesia today.
"We are participating in the Ministry of Religious Affairs's Ramadan Festival 2025 online today," he said.
He said, the distribution of Ramadan packages 2025 with a theme "Ramadhan soothing and fun: Ramadan happy and full of love" was a form of concern and spirit of sharing with people in need.
The 16 thousand packages came from various parties, namely South Kalimantan Kemenag 1,000 packages, districts and cities Kemenag 4,199 packages.
Contribution also from the National Alms Agency (Baznas) throughout South Kalimantan 9,698 packages, and Amil Zakat Institutions (LAZ) also throughout South Kalimantan with 1,128 packages, making a total of 16,025 packages.
Tambrin said, the 2025 Ramadan Festival is a momentum to increase social awareness and strengthen synergy in zakat management between Kemenag, Baznas, and LAZ throughout South Kalimantan.
"Ramadhan is a month of blessing, bringing peace in worship and happiness in sharing. So, I welcome this 2025 Ramadan Festival. Thank you all employees of South Kalimantan offices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, muzakki, donors and parties who have contributed in this activities. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala repay every kindness will manifold rewards," he said.
He advised the entire community to always maintain security, peace, and togetherness in this holy month.
"For those who have more sustenance, they should pay zakat and shadaqah (alms) for people in need," he said.
