Martapura, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - In a bid to improve its public service, the Banjar District is preparing masterplan to build smart city, which is part of 100 smart city movement launched by the central government.
Representatives of all regional apparatus organizations, including military (TNI), police (Polri), and sub-districts took part in the technical guidance opened by Regent of Banjar Khalilurrahman on Wednesday (Sept 2, 2019) in Martapura.
"The technical guidance is the last part of the activity to produce masterplan document and Quick Win Smart City of Banjar District as a reference to realize smart city," said the regent.
The masterplan plays a big role in helping the government to determine policy, regulation, direction and priority of the city development as a planning specifically prepared according to vision, identity, and character of the district.
It is expected to meet interrelated six dimensions of building smart city, namely smart governance, smart branding, smart economy, smart living, smart society, and smart environment all aim to plan an urban development that meet the standards.
"We are not only following trend, but it is indeed a strategic step," he said.
One of which, he emphasized, is giving a quick, precise, and measurable service to all the public in Banjar District until they are well served according to the needs.
Head of Banjar Communication, Informatics, Statistics and Encoding HM Farid Sofian said the movement toward 100 Smart City is a joint program of Communication and Informatics Ministry, Interiro Ministry, Public works and Housing (PUPR) Ministry, Board of National Development and Planning (Bappenas) and Presidential Staff Office.
